All of our Bus Bench Yoga postures are done at your own risk.
Sit on the bench with a tall spine. Close your eyes or find a spot to softly gaze and take THREE DEEP BREATHS through the nose.
Figure 4 Hip Stretch:
Cross your ankle over your opposite thigh. Put your hand under your knee to support your leg. Lean forward slowly with a flat back to a comfortable stretch. Hold for 5 breaths each side.
Spinal Twist:
Sit on the bench with a tall spine and feet planted on the ground. Gently turn your body to one side holding the back and edge of the bench for support. Hold for 5 breaths each side.
Forward Fold:
Sit on the edge of the bench with your legs stretched out in front of you. Fold forward to try to touch your toes. Find a comfortable stretch and hold for 5 breaths.
Standing Lunge:
Stand beside the bench and put one foot on the seat. Lean forward keeping your grounded leg straight. Find a comfortable stretch and hold for 5 breaths. Repeat with other leg.
Shoulder Stretch:
Stand behind the bench and place your palms on the top of the backrest. Walk back slowly with a long spine until you feel a comfortable stretch in your shoulders. Bend your knees to keep your spine straight. Hold for 5 breaths.
